Chesham United is an English football club based in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, currently playing in the Southern League. They are nicknamed "The Generals" because they were once the football team of the General Baptist Church (now called Broadway Baptist Church) in Chesham. Chesham Generals merged with Chesham Town (established in 1894) to form United. They play their home matches at The Meadow. During the summer of 2010, the previous chairman, Charles Manchester, passed the stewardship of the club into the hands of the Chesham United Supporters Trust and Alan Calder took over as chairman.[1]
